Lufia & The Fortress Of Doom Rated By The ESRB
Virtual Console re-release impending!
03.11.11 - 3:48 PM

Thanks to a rating by the ESRB, which frequently act as stealth-announcements for upcoming game releases, we have learned that another red-headed hero will soon be stepping up to save the world. Adol Christin has to rest every once in a while, y'know? The aforementioned rating is for Lufia & The Fortress Of Doom, the first title in the Lufia series that debuted on the SNES back in 1993. It has been listed for release on the Wii, indicating that it will appear on the North American Virtual Console service before long. The game follows a group of young adventurers on a quest to stop the four destructive beings known as "Sinistrals" from tearing the world asunder.

While it may not reach the height of 90's RPG brilliance attained by its prequel, Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals, those interested in seeing how the series got its start need look no further than their Wii consoles. However, no release date has been announced at this time.
