Tale of the Last Promise Wants You to Have "Control of Hate"
...in its battle system! Don't worry, we got footage of it!

Tale of the Last Promise is promising to satisfy your dungeon crawling needs. Will it top the love for Etrian Odyssey? Time will only tell, but it also features a first person battle perspective akin to that of Etrian Odyssey. Your eyes will be on the prize: the enemy.

Today, we also have a video to show you some of the battle system. The part showcased in this video is called "control of hate." Tale of the Last Promise tries to be unique; it has certain attacks that attract the enemy's eye. For instance, if you do a really powerful high damage attack to an enemy with a certain charcter, the enemy takes notice by targeting that character for his next attack. What goes around comes around, indeed. As the video below shows, since your enemy will target the character who gave him the most vicious hit, it's important to shuffle up your strategy and draw his attention to other characters. The game also promises some dialogue during battle. Enjoy this early peek at Tale of the Last Promise for the PSP.
