Meet Tales of Xillia's Fourth (Playable) Character
Every Tales game needs a cute little girl.... 02.19.11 - 8:38 PM Not long ago we got a really quick glimpse of the newest playable character in Tales of Xillia, Leia Roland. Famitsu this week got an even better look at her. The 15 year old is a childhood friend of Jude, the main male lead, and was designed by Mutsumi Inomata who was also responsible for Milla, the female main lead. Leia works at the inn run by her family, and is also training with Jude's parents as a nurse. She cares and worries a great deal about others, sometimes too much. She's also very competitive when it comes to sports and fighting but is more about the effort than the win. Leia comes into the picture in Tales of Xillia not right away, but when the party (including Alvin) later returns to Jude's hometown, he and Leia have a reunion. Afterwards, the group and Leia are asked to head off to mines in search of some mineral needed for a medicine. In this dungeon you'll get to make more use out of your field commands, in this case, the 'dig' command. (After all, you are in a mine looking for minerals.) Leia's weapon of choice is a club, and via special skills, she can extend her reach with the club. Using Link Arts, as we mentioned before you can link two characters together, one as a 'master' and the other as a 'puppet.' The link is indicated by a light connecting the two characters, with the character you're controlling as the master. The puppet character will support you in the battle, and in the process a gauge will fill up, allowing you as the master character to perform a special arts move, the puppet character will follow it up and the end result is a special group attack.
