Telltale Games Announces A Few
Including a King's Quest reboot, and a continuation of Hector: Badge of Carnage 02.19.11 - 7:22 PM While many Back to the Future fans have been occupying themselves with the PSN and iOS releases of the game with the same name, developer Telltale Games have also been busy. Yesterday, they announced a slew of new projects, two in particular of interest to RPG fans. The main one is a reboot of King's Quest, a long-running adventure series from the 80s and 90s. Without providing very many details, the reboot promises to take fans back to the kingdom of Daventry for what else? More adventures. (Joystiq also notes that Call of Duty series publisher, Activision currently owns the rights to King's Quest, which was created by Sierra Entertaiment.) There weren't many details, but we're told to expect more in June at E3. Telltale is also working with Straandlooper Studios to continue the story of Hector: Badge of Carnage. The humorous crime series has an episode 1 already available in the iOS' App Store for the iPhone/iPod Touch platform. Also in the works are versions for the iPad, PC and Mac. Here is Hector: Badge of Carnage's trailer. |
