A Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity Gallery Update
What can we say? We were overdue. 02.05.11 - 4:06 PM It's been a minute since we did one of these giant gallery updates for Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity, but don't think SEGA ever stopped with the strange collaborations. Yes, there's more! In the 70+ new screenshot and pile of new art, you'll find screens a Calorie Mate quest (I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried) and some Toro Station themed weapons (no, seriously) among others. On the less bizarre side, SEGA did collaborate with illustrators Kunio Okawara (Gundam series), Kanetake Ebikawa (Full Metal Panic), Junya Ishigaki (Macross F), Suzuhito Yasuda (Devil Survivor) and huke (Black Rock Shooter: The Game) for some sweet character designs. The Calorie Mate quest is a piece of downloadable content that's available now if you have the Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity demo. With your oh so essential Calorie Mate stolen, you'll have to hunt it down and fight to get it back, going through quizzes and helping other characters as you do so. When you complete the quest, you'll get a Calorie Mate item that fills up your blast gauge. The collab designs are also download content which can be equipped by any character, gender and race. Unlike the Calorie Mate quest, it won't be available until after the game is released. There wasn't any clarification on the Toro Station..er, weapons, though. You can see more screens and art in the gallery below. Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity will be out in Japan on February 24th.
