Mass Effect 2 PS3 Dated
We PS3 owners can now catch up with the rest of RPG fans. 12.10.10 - 3:55 AM BioWare fans who are also PlayStation 3 owners can finally breathe, as the PS3 version of one of the Edmonton-based developer's most popular titles finally has a release date. Mass Effect 2, which was released nearly a year ago on the PC and Xbox 360, will be available in blu-ray form on January 18th of next year, and will also be released three days later in Europe on January 21st. Yes, that's just over a month away. So far, the PS3 version has been confirmed to contain the Lair of the Shadow Broker, Kasumi and Overlord DLCs as well as the Blood Dragon Armor. Because the PS3 never saw the original Mass Effect, this version will also come with an interactive comic (courtesy of Dark Horse Comics) which will catch players up to speed in the story and let them make choices that will affect their ME2 playthrough and storyline. Other content will be made available on the Cerberus Network as per usual. BioWare is also expected to announce their next big title at the VGAs (Video Game Awards) this Saturday (tomorrow), which is widely anticipated to be Mass Effect 3. Either way, we'll keep you posted on what unfolds!
