Students of the Round is a fantasy dungeon crawling RPG from the Japanese PC developer Experience. It was released on PCs earlier this year, but is slated for Xbox 360 on February 10th, 2011. Those are in Japan, mind you - it hasn't come or been announced stateside so far. Instead of maps though, you go through school events and battle a demon lord around the same time. After all, the Knights of the Round failed to defeat him a hundred years ago at the beginning of the game, so you can't quite call them heroes. You and your classmates can bond over meals and during these events, and these bonds will be essential in defeating - or at least sealing away - this demon lord.

Do you feel like you're reading a story about Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 yet? As far as I can tell, there's no summoning of demons - and Students in the Round looks... well, different. As in a high-res, very detailed sort of different - yes, even in battle. You and your classmates will be everything from wizards and paladins to fighters and healers in battle, and you can lure enemies into traps as well as fight over treasure chests with them.

The Xbox 360 version of Students of the Round will have new monsters, items, dungeons, music and event scenes. Click the gallery link below to see more screenshots and a bit of artwork as well.
