Meet The Heroines Of Rune Factory Oceans
And - surprise! They're sisters.

At some point, Marvelous Entertainment mentioned that Rune Factory Oceans' male protagonist, Azel, will have as much of a selection of potential mates as there was in previous Rune Factory games - and more than his female counterpart, Sonia will have. The game's official website introduced three of these heroines and also mentioned more about the game's premise. Azel and Sonia, who are childhood friends, don't quite share the same body, but Azel wakes up in the new world with Sonia in his consciousness. It's not quite clear yet whether you choose to be one of them for the rest of the game, or if you can switch back and forth between the two.

After Azel and Sonia are mysteriously transported to Finnis Island, which houses humans, spirits and monsters. The first person he meets is Odette, and so he decides to stay on the island, at least for a short while. The next day, some devastating event occurs on the island, causing Azel to go out to sea.

Odette is the second oldest of three sisters introduced on the site. Together, they run a pub and an inn in town, and Odette is the cook. The oldest is Lily, a musician, and the youngest is Iris, the only nurse in the area. There will likely be more bachelorettes, and we have yet to meet the bachelors for Sonia as well.

We've also added a couple of screens and packaging to the gallery, which you can find below. Rune Factory: Oceans for the Wii and PlayStation 3 (where it will have Move support) will be out in Japan on February 24th, 2011 for 7140 yen ($85.32 US).
