With lots of new uglies! The monsters, that is.

While many players await the massive updates - one today, in fact - for Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix's other MMORPG is still going strong. So much, in fact, that Final Fantasy XI is getting another content pack in a couple of weeks. Heroes of Abyssea is the last of the Abyssea trilogy (after Vision of Abyssea and Scars of Abyssea), and will complete the rest of players' AF3 armor. It also promises new (or at least, newly-coloured) bosses and enemies, including ones that offer a challenge to players who are over level 85. As well, Heroes of Abyssea-specific quests will require you to be at a minimum of level 30 to play.
The same day of this add-on's release will also finally complete the three-year-old story arc that began with Wings of the Goddess. Final Fantasy XI: Heroes of Abyssea will be available on December 6th for $9.99 US.
