Aralon: Sword & Shadow Gameplay Footage & Details
You're going to want a retina display iOS device.
11.17.10 - 3:41 AM

Last month, we put up a gallery and a trailer for Aralon: Sword & Shadow, a rather nice-looking title for iOS devices. The developer, Crescent Moon, has since released ten minutes of gameplay footage, which shows a great deal of this 3D RPG, from menus to actual exploring and fighting. He even makes some fish stew and levitates. Check it out here:

Aralon will be available for the iPad as well, and the iPhone and iPad will each get a customized user interface. The game will also make use of the retina display (as you might have guessed) in the newest-model iPod Touch and iPhone, and will get GameCenter support so you can collect those achievements. The game is advertised to have some 30 hours of gameplay, 60 different locations, 500 items including armor and accessories, and last but not least, three races to choose from: human, elf and troll. Oh, and not to mention four mounts to choose from.

Like the 30 hours suggests, there's plenty to do in the game, since it's got a housing and farming system, and you'll be able to work on your gathering skills, and all kinds of other things. Crescent Moon plans to release content even after Aralon is released, such as character options and extra quests.

Aralon: Sword & Shadow will be out by the end of the year.
