Valkyria Chronicles 3 Gets Heavy Promotion In Japan
How does an anime, some figures, and a commercial sound? 11.12.10 - 12:48 AM When SEGA said they would have a few events centering on its upcoming SRPG, Valkyria Chronicles 3, we didn't realize just how heavy they'd start pushing the title. Last week as we mentioned, they showed off the game, allowing fans to both play and ask questions about the PSP title. That was the fan event. This week was the press event in which they announced promotional tie-ins, including Valkyria Chronicles 3 products. The event started off with unveiling the game's opening movie accompanied by the theme song, May'n's 'Moshimo Kimi ga Negau no Nara.' The staff also introduced the voice cast for some of the main characters, or more specifically Riela (Aya Endou), Imca (Masumi Asano), and Dahau (Kouichi Yamadera), the last one being a bit of a surprise. Also announced was a two-volume Valkyria Chronicles 3 OVA featuring the same voice cast as the game. Fans will have to sit tight for this one though - it isn't scheduled to hit the PlayStation Store until springtime in Japan. Also due out in spring are Nendoroid figures of the main heroines, Imca and Riela, which will be made by SEGA and Good Smile Company. Finally, we've got a couple of clips for the game below. The first is a 30 second TV spot and you can hear May'n's song in the background: The second video focuses on your protagonist, Kurt: Valkyria Chronicles 3 is due out on January in Japan, and a demo is available on the Japanese PlayStation Network as of today.
