The 3rd Birthday Gallery Update & Soundtrack Announced
Are we sure Square Enix isn't celebrating *my* birthday?
11.04.10 - 5:36 PM

We're pretty glad that Yoko Shimomura decided to reprise her role as composer (alongside Tsuyoshi Sekito and Misuto Suzuki, that is) for the third game in the Parasite Eve series, The 3rd Birthday. After all, those haunting piano pieces from the older games are unforgettable - in a good way. We also previously mentioned that first-print editions of the PlayStation Portable game, in Japan, will come with a CD with a handful of piano arrangements. But now Square Enix has announced that the original soundtrack in its entirety will be 3 discs long - and will release on the same day as the game, even.

Both The 3rd Birthday and its soundtrack will be out in Japan on December 22nd. The OST will cost 3500 yen ($43.35 US) and first prints will be in a special sleeve case. The game will be released in North America in the first quarter of 2011.

You can check out some samples on the OST's official site. We've also updated our gallery with some new screens and artwork (including a couple of Aya's alternate costumes - unless you don't care, and all you want to see is for her clothing to take damage), all of which can be found below!
