World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Gets A Release Date
Why, I think Christmas is coming early this year! 10.05.10 - 2:01 AM We all knew it was coming soon. Even those of us who have never played World of Warcraft knew it was coming, it was just a question of when. Now you can all book your early Christmas vacations (or fret until your final exams are over), as Blizzard announced today that its (really) highly anticipated WoW expansion Cataclysm will be available in early December. Cataclysm, which is currently in beta phase, is the third expansion for the massively popular MMORPG, after The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. (Note that you will need to have installed both of these expansions in order to install and play Cataclysm.) In the latest expansion, players explore an Azeroth changed by the aftermath of Deathwing's return, and two new races will become playable: worgen and goblins. As always, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will have a sizable limited edition packed with a soundtrack, artbook, behind-the-scenes DVD, trading card starter packs, a 'Lil' Deathwing' pet, and a WoW mousepad, all for $79.99 US. The regular edition will cost $39.99 US, and will be available both via retail copy and digital download. All will be released on December 7th.
