Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together Details & Gallery Update
Some job class info and a collector's edition in Japan, naturally.
09.30.10 - 5:49 PM

Square Enix recently unveiled the collector's pack for the Japanese release of Tactics Ogre: Wheel of Fortune (better known as Let Us Cling Together in the West), and if you're a fan and have already got Japan envy, this one's not going to help you there. This pack, pictured below, comes in a box whose art looks like an oil painting and includes the original soundtrack, a tarot card set, and a print illustration - signed by artist Akihiko Yoshida, to boot.

A few details also emerged regarding the job classes, and there are a couple of new ones, including a Rune Fencer (male version of the Valkyrie) and a Kunoichi (female ninja). It turns out that you level up the classes, not the units themselves, although there a separate tally of points for each of the male and female versions of a class. Characters individually do, however, earn skill points. There are four types of skills that can be learned by accumulating these: support, as in passive skills such as equipping a weapon that your character's class normally cannot; action, moves that require Tactical Points (TP); command, a set of commands (such as divine magic) rather than a single skill; and special skills just for monsters.

Lastly, we have also updated the gallery with some new screens and art, so check out both pages below!

Tactics Ogre: Wheel of Fortune is due out in Japan on November 11th, and the collector's pack, available at Square Enix's Japanese online store, will run 9980 yen ($119.54 US). The North American release date has not yet been set.
