Square Enix has sold about 910,000 copies of Dragon Quest VI during the first four days of the Nintendo DS-based remake's availability in Japan. Thereby, the ArtePiazza-developed game has easily surpassed the first week performance of its prequels Dragon Quest IV (600,000 copies) and Dragon Quest V (680,000 copies).

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie for DS will be released on both sides of the Atlantic later this year.
