After all the speculation and SEGA accidentally (or not) giving off major hints, they have finally confirmed Valkyria Chronicles 3 at Tokyo Game Show. Like the second game, it will be a PlayStation Portable title, this time taking place during the European War in 1935 - the same year in which the first Valkyria Chronicles took place. The main characters are Imca, a Darcsen whose village was destroyed by Valkyries; Riela Marcellis, a Valkyrie; and Kurt, an officer trying to get in the good graces of the military again. All are members of Squad 422, also known as 'The Nameless' - a squad whose members have made trouble for the military in the past. The first trailer of the game, whose footage is all cutscenes, can be seen below.
Valkyria Chronicles 3 will be out in Japan on January 27th, 2011.
