While Western fans (like my little brother) are still enamored with their week-old Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep PSP bundles, Square Enix confirmed at Tokyo Game Show what Shonen Jump magazine had already hinted at: Japan is getting a Final Mix version of the latest title in the popular action RPG series. Like other 'Final Mixes' (and International versions of Final Fantasy titles), this usually means English voice acting and some other bonuses. In the case of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix, this means, among other things, that Captain Pete, usually a villain in Kingdom Hearts titles, will fight alongside you this time. Also added are crown stickers and a hooded villain - both of which are in the English version, but not the original Japanese version of the game.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix is due out in Japan in January. Stay tuned for RPGFan's domestic review of Birth By Sleep, coming soon!
