From Mike Salb-- wait, the graphics guy? He wrote something?!

I have a story to tell you.
Once upon a time, I was sitting at the RPGFan office (which totally exists). Next to me is Mike Salbato, plugging away at all sorts of neat graphical stuff. He's trying to give the site a face-lift, plus he's doing image galleries and making pretty banners and "featured" buttons for the site.
Suddenly, a wave of power and authority comes over me. And in that moment, I know I can make Salbato do whatever I want. So I call to him:
"SLAVE! I want you to write something for RPGFan!"
His retort: "but I can't write, m'lord! I can only make pretty eye candy stuff. I am no wordsmith."
So we enrolled him in a two-year journalism school. He graduated with honors. And then, he wrote a review for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for Wii.
Okay, so everything about that story is false, except for the last sentence. This was just an exercise in RPG-Fan-Fiction to prove to Mr. Salbato that he's probably a better writer than he thinks, if only because what I've written thus far is absolute silly garbage.
Why the needed boost in confidence? Perhaps, because Mike Salbato thinks quite highly of FFCC:TCB. The single-player spin-off of a spin-off that was designed to emphasize cooperative play has not seen the most favorable reviews since its post-Christmas release. But Mike wants you to look at it in a different light. That's why he wrote this review.
He also wrote a review for the two disc soundtrack. And while I can't vouch for the game (I haven't played it), I can say that the soundtrack is quite good. Hidenori Iwasaki and Ryo Yamazaki, both sound programmers by trade who rarely get the spotlight as musicians with Square Enix, actually tackled this project together. The end result is totally brilliant.
We hope you enjoy today's update, and I promise not to write any bad fanfics about Mike and I ever again. Or, if I do, they'll be kept private. Very, very private.
