Recettear Comes to Steam September 10th
I can't help it, they have my credit card number!

I love Steam more than any human reasonably should. I have purchased games I will never play thanks to Steam's summer and winter sales; I have purchased games I already own on disc (and have never played) just to have them on Steam. It is fair to say that I have an unhealthy obsession with Valve's digital distribution service, and there is no end in sight.

So imagine, if you will, the excitement in my eyes when I was casually perusing Steam's Coming Soon catalog and saw Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale listed for release on Steam this September 10th! The shop-keeping, dungeon-crawling indie JRPG in localization with the gents over at Carpe Fulgur has had many an RPGFan staffer excited since the release of the tremendously enjoyable demo, and we're glad to see the game getting the publicity most indie JRPGs don't.

If you don't share my unadulterated love for Steam, Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale will also be available on the Impulse and GamersGate digital distribution networks. It's worth noting that Steam is offering a 10% pre-order discount, dropping the price from the already quite reasonable $19.99 to an even more palatable $17.99, to those who purchase the game before September 10th.

For more information check out the game's official website, and stay tuned to RPGFan for our review of Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale in the near future.
