Hero 30 Second, True Sequel to Half-Minute Hero, Announced
The world is once again threatened by obnoxiously efficient villains.

The title of this headline may be a little misleading, as we previously reported on a so-called successor to Half-Minute Hero back in April. Unlike Jikan de Fantasia, which merely shared some members of HMH's development staff, Hero 30 Second is a true sequel to the original game. It retains the same graphical style and frantic gameplay, but ditches the strategy and action modes in favor of five new RPG scenarios carrying the Hero 30 moniker: Overture, Revolution, Judgment, Ragnarok, and Destiny. The game will feature a total of 90 quests spanning all five modes, in addition to a four-player mode, an infinite time endurance mode, and a custom quest editor.

Hero 30 Second is reported to be 77% complete (who decides on these things?), and is scheduled to be released on November 7th in Japan. No North American release has been announced at this time, but based on the success of Half-Minute Hero, we may have a good chance of seeing this one translated too.
