Date Set For Final Fantasy XIV Beta
And it's only a couple of days away.
07.08.10 - 8:12 PM

The release date for the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV was announced just last week, but some lucky adventurers will be exploring Eorzea in a matter of days. The game's beta test will begin on July 10th, and will incorporate a multitude of refinements from the alpha version. The client is already available for download on the beta website, so eligible testers can prepare to enter Square Enix's new online frontier as soon as the servers go up on Saturday.

The beta promises to include improved combat featuring tactical positioning, enhanced graphics, and new chat icons to communicate key ideas in the heat of battle.

The PC version of Final Fantasy XIV will release globally at retail on two different dates: September 22nd for the collector's edition, and September 30th for the standard edition. The PS3 version will release in March 2011.
