Fans of Infinite Interactive's Puzzle Quest series of games can look forward to losing hours of their time once again, as Puzzle Quest 2 releases today for the Nintendo DS. The series involves a fusion of Bejeweled-style puzzle gameplay with the character development and story of an RPG, creating a unique experience that has proven to be quite addictive.

Unlike the developer's previous game, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, Puzzle Quest 2 returns to the fantasy-themed world of the original and sees an evolution of that game's combat, including new attacks, and character development systems. The DS version will retail for $29.99 US. The game will also be available for download on Xbox Live Arcade on June 30th for 1200 Microsoft Points, and will release on other platforms, such as iPhone and PC, in the coming months.
