With Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar approaching its July 27th release date on the Nintendo DS, I was glad to be able to get the time to check it out at E3. After getting a deeper look into the game, I must say Grand Bazaar is definitely shaping up to show great promise. In this newest iteration of the Harvest Moon series, you'll no longer simply be tossing items into a shipping bin and getting a lump sum for them. Now, it's up to you to sell the crops and items you worked so hard to nurture. You'll do this by going to the bazaar and opening up your own stand to sell them. During this time, characters will come up to you making offers for your products. Needless to say, Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar focuses more on making sure you create quality items in order for you to see success in your bank account. For example, if you go through the motions of say milling items like seeds or creating some bling bling diamond rings with quality ores, you're bound to see financial success. So the moral of Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar is the harder you work the more cash money and success you will see in the game. The bazaar also offers more than just a place to sell your items, various vendors will have items for you to spend your hard earned dollars on, including the basics such as animals, tools, and more.

Although a chunk of the gameplay and your time will be devoted to preparing items and selling them at the bazaar, this game hasn't abandoned its dating sim appeal. Depending on whether or not you choose to be male or female, you will have five choices for potential marriage partners. Grand Bazaar also features an entirely new cast of characters along with some characters from past games, like Sunshine Islands, who will make surprise appearances.

Perhaps the greatest news to hear was that Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar offers a chance for you to visit your friends' farm using local and Wi-Fi connection. This is the first time a Harvest Moon game has included Wi-Fi support to share your hard work with others. This is a development that hardcore Harvest Moon fans have been clamoring for. It's bound to open up a new Harvest Moon experience for longtime fans. With new characters, wireless play, and a gameplay more focused on rewarding you for your hard work, it's safe to say Grand Bazaar will offer Harvest Moon aficionados something new and thrilling to sink their teeth into.
