E3: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Announced
Complete with another epic Miyamoto entrance.

This morning at Nintendo's E3 press conference, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii was announced. The game, which makes use of the Wii Motion Plus Wii remote add-on, was demonstrated live by Shigeru Miyamoto, using the Wiimote as Link's sword and the Nunchuk as the shield. Most of the controls use realistic motion, including raising the Wiimote above your head to charge the sword with solar energy, then bringing it down to fire that energy at enemies - hence the game's subtitle. Skyward Sword has a realistic look much like Twilight Princess, though brighter and more colorful.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is currently scheduled for a 2011 release.
