Indie PC Strategy RPG Review: The Battle for Wesnoth
Semi-open "for gamers by gamers" project wows our staff. 05.30.10 - 3:14 PM Specifically, editor Bob Richardson. He's sold on this game. That's why we had him write up his thoughts on this game. Yeah. The Battle for Wesnoth was created by David White in 2003. It had an "official" (1.0) launch date in 2005, and added full online multiplayer compatibility in 2008. Dozens of people have put their hands on the game in an official capacity, and player-made campaigns number in the thousands. The game is free for PC players, and there's also an iPhone version that one can download for a small fee. Have I convinced you yet? If I haven't, I think Bob will probably do the rest of the job nicely. Commercial developers, take note of some of Bob's tips for "good games" in here! I think he might be on to something.
