Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem Remake Announced For DS

Nintendo of Japan has revealed the next entry in their popular tactical RPG franchise. Entitled Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem ~Hero of Light and Shadow~, the new game will be a remake of the third title in the series (known as Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo), which originally saw release on the Super Famicom in 1994.

Mystery of the Emblem looks to be a sequel to 2009's Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, which we reviewed favorably here at RPGFan. Aside from a short cinematic trailer, which can be seen on the series' official site linked below, no media accompanied the game's announcement, so details are scarce.

No release date has been specified at this time.
