A grass snake, a fire pig, and a water otter. Can we call it a Wotter?

Scans from the newest issue of CoroCoro magazine in Japan have lifted the veil on the three new starter Pokémon teased earlier this week. Pokémon Black & White will feature Tsutaja (the grass snake), Pokabu (the fire pig), and Mijimaru (the sea otter). Their names will most likely change during the trek overseas to North America.

The scans indicate that this generation takes place in a region called Isshu, which is said to be very far away from previous regions. The player characters in this series are also said to be older than those in the past.

A few more additional details about Black & White have also surfaced, though they are still unconfirmed at this time. It is said that Zoroark, star of the 13th Pokémon movie, has an ability called Illusion that enables it to transform into other Pokémon. Two new moves have also been detailed: Trickery, which does damage based on the opponent's stats, and Claw Sharpen, which raises the user's attack and accuracy.

Pokémon Black & White are scheduled to be released on the Nintendo DS this fall in Japan, with a North American release likely following shortly thereafter.
