NEXON, leading publisher of free-to-play online games such as MapleStory, has announced their acquisition of NDOORS Corporation, a competitor best known for publishing Atlantica Online. NEXON hopes to utilize the assets of their newly assimilated subsidiary to increase their enterprise value and strengthen their core capabilities. Diversifying their game lineup comes as an added bonus.
The announcement was made by Su-Min, CEO of NEXON. He issued the following statement:
"NEXON has been carrying out ongoing investment in the companies with outstanding development efforts. NDOORS, as well as an excellent development capability with domestic and international publishing capabilities, would be a big help to expand NEXON's portfolio and to carry out a global expansion policy."
