The best part of today's update? The RPG with the dams has a really good soundtrack.

Five soundtracks to talk about today. They're all good. But some are better than others.
Let's start with the Japanese promotional album for Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star. Iwadare himself returned to improve upon his old score. And improve he did! This soundtrack sounds even more awesome than the PlayStation version, and that was a feat back in its day. We at RPGFan have a soft spot in our hearts for this series, and it was wonderful hearing new versions of this classic music. Let's hope for a retail and/or North American soundtrack release, eh?
Next up, "Love SQ." This is an arrange album, published by Square Enix, featuring original artists (who refuse to go by their real names) arranging tracks from Romancing SaGa, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Mana, and the Final Fantasy series. This one makes up for the less than stellar "Final Fantasy Remix" album.
While on the subject of S-E, I'd be a naughty boy if I failed to mention 4 Warriors of Light -Final Fantasy Gaiden-. The soundtrack is composed by Naoshi Mizuta (Final Fantasy XI), with arrangements from synth expert Mitsuto Suzuki. This soundtrack is surprisingly strong, and very enjoyable.
Kim Wallace contributed to today's update by reviewing the epic two-disc score for Level-5's White Knight Chronicles. Now that there's a North American release date set (February 2, 2010), this soundtrack really gets me excited for the game. Check out the review, and the audio samples, to see if it's something you'd enjoy as well.
Finally, the most random item on the list: Dun-Dam for Nintendo DS. No relation to "Gundam." That name is short for "Dungeons & Dam." It's advertised in Japan as a "dam management RPG" from Acquire. Most importantly for us, however, is that the two disc soundtrack is composed by Ms. Toshiko Tasaki, who has worked on some Shin Megami Tensei titles, as well as Touch Detective. I have to say, I'm mighty pleased with this soundtrack. Read my review to find out why.
