Alchemist Announces Duo of Adventure Games
One PS2 port and an original PSP/Xbox 360 title in the works. 10.30.09 - 9:24 PM Alchemist has announced that it is working on two new adventure games. Suzunone Seven: Rebirth Knot is the PlayStation 2 version of a Clochette Soft-developed love adventure which was originally released for the PC platform earlier this year. Meanwhile, No Fight: Only the Power of Will is an original game jointly developed by Alchemist and Success for PlayStation Portable and Xbox 360. Compared to the original PC version, Suzunone Seven will feature two new heroines. The game takes place in a world where the sole source of energy is magic. The Suzunone School of Magic is a renowned educational institution which was established with the aim of merging magic with natural sciences. However, even at this elite institution there are comparatively inept students. Every year, the school selects seven of those bad students and forces them to take part in a special training camp. If the students fail to pass this camp, they will be forced to leave the school for good. This training camp provides the setting for the game’s story. The game's protagonist Shiroto Yukimura is a capable student of magical engineering. However, poor Shiroto has had a falling out with the school's headmaster. The cast of heroines include Nino Nonomura who has no interest in magic whatsoever, Yuzuri Takatori, the daughter of a wealthy and magically gifted industrial family, Sumire Daikanyama who is the granddaughter of the school's headmaster, and the protagonist's former girlfriend Minato Mitsumine. No Fight: Only the Power of Will is set to go on sale in Japan on February 25th 2010. Suzunone Seven: Rebirth Knot will be available in March.
