Dragon Quest Soundtrack Reprints: Clean-Up and Updates
I kinda-sorta want to punch Sugiyama in the face after this.
10.27.09 - 11:47 PM

On October 7, 2009, a second batch of reprints (under King Records) took place for old Dragon Quest soundtracks. In total, 22 "new" albums were printed.

The August reprints covered the Tokyo Metropolitan recordings of the Symphonic Suites. This October run covered the London Philharmonic *and* NHK Orchestra versions, and also tacked on reprints of a few other specialty items.

But the cute part is that some of these "reprints" weren't straight reprints: they would add tracks, subtract tracks, merge tracks from two albums, and change cover art.

But, ever faithful (and anal retentive) when it comes to soundtracks, we now have our soundtrack reviews section reflecting all these changes. Which means we've also added a few new, and brief (informative), reviews to the section. So check it out, and if you want to buy Dragon Quest soundtracks, I assure you there's never been a better time than now.

...but seriously, if Sugiyama has anymore of his albums reprinted, I'm going to go insane...
