ONE Power-Up Game Card: Available at Rite-Aid?
Like free-to-play MMOs? Like them enough to buy items for your avatar? And do you shop at Rite-Aid?
10.13.09 - 11:15 PM

Well of course you shop at Rite-Aid. All gamers think CVS is lame and Rite-Aid is awesome.

I might have made up that last part.

Anyway, word on the street is that a sizable bunch of MMO publishers (Aeria Games, OnNet/Games Campus, Fantage, NDoors, NHN Global, Game HI, and JC Entertainment, to be specific) have partnered with ONE (Open Network Entertainment) so that gamers can purchase some nifty prepaid cards. With these prepaid cards, gamers can transfer the funds into the virtual currencies of these MMOs to buy fashion items and other micro-transaction-based goodies.

At present, the games that currently work with the Power-Up Game Card are:

Asda Story
Atlantica Online
Cue Online
Dragon Sky
Dream of Mirror
Fantage
Freestyle
Last Chaos
Luminary: Rise of the Goonzu
Manga Fighter
MLB Dugout Heroes
Shaiya
Shot Online 2009
Project Torque
Turf Battles
Twelve Sky 1/2
Wolf Team
Xiah

Not all of these MMOs are MMORPGs proper, but we thought you'd want to know the whole list. We've also been told that this list will expand over time. With Aeria Games on board, I wouldn't be surprised to see Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE Online thrown into the mix. But that's just speculation.

Click the link below to check out the ONE Game Card for yourself (or just head to your local Rite-Aid). Also, expect some more coverage on at least one title in that list (hint, it rhymes with "Matlantica") from RPGFan in the coming weeks.
