Zenonia 2 Doing Well in Korea
Strong first-month sales figures for the sequel to the mobile hit.

First off, yes, we may have missed the boat on the announcement of Zenonia 2: The Lost Memories awhile back, but never mind that. The followup to the popular mobile-based action RPG has only launched in publisher GAMEVIL's home of Korea, and is so far doing very well, as you can see in the official press release:

surpasses 200,000 downloads within first month of launch in Korea

SEOUL, KOREA — October 7th, 2009 — GAMEVIL(R), a leading mobile game publisher and developer, today announced its sequel to "ZENONIA", "ZENONIA 2: The Lost Memories" has reached 200,000 downloads within the first month of service in Korea.

GAMEVIL earlier reported that the game had recorded 100,000 downloads within the first two weeks, and now has exceeded more than 200,000 downloads within the first month. The game is serviced at 4,000 KRW, which is the highest priced mobile game in Korea so far.

"ZENONIA 2: The Lost Memories" is currently ranked at the top of download charts of all three carriers in Korea. The game features more than 1,000 items, 150 maps, 600,000 costumes and 20 different skills. Also, GAMEVIL claims that users have played more than 1 million sessions of its additional online network PvP(Player vs Player) play.

The game is currently serviced on mobile phones on all three carriers in Korea and is planned to be serviced in the global market early next year.
