Bandai Namco Games is working on a DS-based sequel to last year's Super Robot Taisen Original Generation (OG) Saga: Mugen no Frontier (Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier in the US). Titled Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Mugen no Frontier EXCEED, the game once again takes players to the endless frontier. This time, the story follows Aldy Nash who is chasing after the legendary robot Alcon. Alcon belongs to a group of robots capable of autonomous actions. They are powered by ambition. However, due to the lack of a suitable pilot, Alcon simply decided to disappear. The female led is the elf Neige Hausen. She sprang from one of the most distinguished families in the country of Elfentale.

The developers at Bandai Namco Games and Monolith Soft chose the title because they were convinced that they could top their previous effort. The main character was the result of the idea to create a protagonist that had closer connections to the Original Generation series than his predecessor. Exactly what kind of ties Aldy has to the OG series is still unknown at this point. Heroine Neige is based on a character originally designed for the first game. Since then, the design has undergone several changes. Let's just say, the developers want players to keep an eye or two on Neige's curves which have grown considerably since the initial sketches. Last but not least, the effect visuals of techniques have been enhanced, characters will be able to remember more techniques and the game's size has grown two-fold, compared to the original game.

Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Mugen no Frontier EXCEED will be available in Japan this winter.
