TGS: Tales of Graces Dated
December release for Tales on the Wii in Japan. 09.26.09 - 11:31 AM At the annual Tales series stage event at Bandai Namco Games' Tokyo Game Show booth, Tales of Graces producer Hideo Baba revealed that the newest Wii-based installment of the popular RPG series would arrive on Japanese retail store shelves in December. Baba also announced a DS-based mini-game that will be connected to Tales of Graces. The mini-game is an orthodox dungeon crawler, not unlike the Wizardry titles. The player enters a randomly generated dungeon with the aim to defeat a boss that is awaiting the player's challenge at the end of the area. To make things more interesting the developers have implemented a time limit. If the player has succeeded in defeating the boss within the given period of time, he will be rewarded with a special item which then can be used in Tales of Graces. The pre-order campaign for the newest Tales game will begin on October 8th. Those who pre-order Tales of Graces will be treated to a postcard upon placing the pre-order, and another yet to-be-announced goodie, when they pick up the actual software. Last but not least, the producer used the stage event to announce that Korean songstress BoA was performing Tales of Graces' main theme.
