Square Enix's PlayStation title Vagrant Story is now available for download via the Japanese PlayStation Store's Game Archives service. PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable users can download the game for 600 yen ($6.22USD).
Originally released in 1999, Vagrant Story was the second game directed by former Square Enix executive Yasumi Matsuno during his ten-year stint with the Final Fantasy makers. While the game couldn't match the commercial success of other Matsuno-directed titles, such as Final Fantasy Tactics or Final Fantasy XII, it was received well by many critics including RPGFan's review staff. In Japan, it became the sole PlayStation title to receive a rare perfect 40/40 score from Weekly Famitsuu.
