Muramasa: The Demon Blade Import Review
Is Vanillaware's newest game a victim of "style over substance" design?
06.13.09 - 1:14 PM

Developer Vanillaware has made a name for themselves for being anything but "vanilla" when it comes to their art style. Many gamers loved their PlayStation 2 hit Odin Sphere, and when we at RPGFan first saw in-game screens for Muramasa: The Demon Blade, we knew we were in for more beautiful eye candy.

But is that all this game is? Our import reviews guru, James Clark, believes this may be the case. Those of us who attended E3 played a few minutes' worth of the game, but James took in the entirety of the game and was left wanting something more from the gameplay. But I'll stop trying to speak for him...

Just click below to read the full review for yourself. When XSEED brings Muramasa: The Demon Blade to North America, we'll have further reviews, and we'll see if James is in the minority with his opinion of the game.
