Nippon Ichi Software is bringing its classic PlayStation 2 title Disgaea 2 to PlayStation Portable in March. The Strategy RPG, which was originally released in 2006, will be updated with new skills, units and an additional scenario. Among those newly playable characters are Overlord Priere as well as Makai Kingdom protagonist Zetta. Death saber and female samurai units are also being added. Furthermore, the developers have made several enhancements to the gameplay, such as adjustable speed of a unit's movement, optional disabling of cut-in scenes, improved camera angles, etc.

Disgaea 2 Portable will be available in Japan on March 26th. The game's standard release will retail for 5,229 yen ($57.38 USD), whereas the first print limited edition will cost 7,329 yen ($80.42 USD). The latter will ship with the two disc original soundtrack, as well as a maxi CD featuring new BGM and vocal tracks.
