To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Makaitoshi SaGa's 1989 GameBoy release (Final Fantasy Legend in North America), Square Enix is releasing a limited edition SaGa sound compilation. Titled "SaGa Series 20th Anniversary Original Soundtrack -Premium Box-," it will feature more than 500 tracks on 20 CDs. Fans can look forward to tracks from the following ten SaGa games:

SaGa 1-3 (Final Fantasy Legend I-III)
Romancing SaGa 1-3
SaGa Frontier 1-2
UNLIMITED:SaGa
Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song

Additionally, the box will include a DVD featuring developer interviews and a stand display showing an illustration painted by series veteran Tomomi Kobayashi.

The SaGa Series 20th Anniversary Original Soundtrack -Premium Box- will go on sale on August 26th, carrying a price tag of 21,000 yen ($219.86 USD). No word yet on a separate soundtrack release for the planned SaGa 2 DS remake, but we expect its announcement to follow in the coming weeks.

Fans of absurdly-large OST box sets will want to check out previous Square Enix releases for Final Fantasy XI (7 discs) and Kingdom Hearts (9 discs), as well as Capcom's Breath of Fire (11 discs).
