Fallout: New Vegas Announced

Pete Hines announced the development of Fallout: New Vegas in a London press release earlier today. The developing team, Obsidian Entertainment is responsible for games such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 and the upcoming Alpha Protocol. Also on board are members of the Fallout 2 team.

Fallout: New Vegas will not be another Brotherhood of Steel, but an actual RPG more akin to the original titles. Furthermore, Hines stated that New Vegas is not a sequel to Fallout 3.

Details are scarce, but it is set to be released on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2010.
