Nihon Falcom today confirmed that its recently announced PlayStation Portable title Ys VII will arrive on multiple platforms starting next year. The company has not identified these platforms, but explained that new iterations of the game won't be mere ports of the PlayStation Portable release. Instead the development team at Falcom aims to maximize the "joy of playing an Action RPG" by utilizing each platforms' unique capabilities. The only feature shared by these titles will be a common setting and the classic Ys feel.

The PlayStation Portable release of Ys VII will be available in Japan in September.
