Flagship Studios Still on Life Support
07.17.08 - 7:36 PM

According to a statement released by the upper management of Flagship Studios, it appears that the developer of Hellgate: London will not be closing its doors after all. Despite having cut most of its employees and suspended online subscriptions to its Hellgate: London multiplayer game, Flagship has not entirely capitulated, and will continue developing the online RPG Mythos, albeit with reductions in its development team. In the statement, company CEO Bill Roper explains that his company could no longer be kept as large as it became following the release of its first title.

Although Flagship will retain the rights to its Hellgate: London franchise, the company is still at odds with Korean publisher Hanbitsoft, which has staked its claim in the intellectual property of the franchise.
