New Horror Adventure for DS Announced
04.23.08 - 7:46 AM

Apart from the recently announced Sigma Harmonics, Square Enix is working on another DS-based adventure title. Entitled Nanashi no Game (meaning "Nameless Game"), the company's newest DS project is a horror adventure. Its story will center around a curse. Everybody who plays a mysterious game will die after seven days. Players will assume control over a male or female second-year university student. After he had begun playing the mysterious game, the protagonist's senior has not come to class even once. Hence, the protagonist decides to visit him at his home. There, an incredibly scary scene awaits the protagonist. On top of that, an email and the mysterious game are sent to his/her handheld. This in-game handheld closely resembles the DS. The emails which are sent to the portable device will contain key clues to solve the riddles surrounding the deadly game. Nanashi no Game plays similar to AQ Interactive's PlayStation Portable title Anata wo Yurusanai, in that one has to hold the DS vertically. One might also be reminded of Hotel Dusk for this reason.

Nanashi no Game will be available in Japan on July 3rd for 4,800 yen ($45.46 USD).
