Banpresto Bringing Super Robot Taisen Z to PS2
04.16.08 - 9:30 PM

Banpresto today took the wraps off Super Robot Taisen Z. The PlayStation 2-based title is the new Super Robot Taisen installment originally mentioned by series mastermind Takanobu Terada back in January. According to the developers, Z's visuals will be far superior to those of previous series' installments. A few elements might remind fans of the atmosphere of Super Robot Taisen Alpha Gaiden's futuristic world. Furthermore, Z will employ a system similar to the platoon system of the second and third Super Robot Taisen Alpha titles. However, the developers promise, that the new system will allow for an easier team formation than the platoon system. So far, robots and pilots from eleven anime series have been confirmed to make an appearance in Super Robot Taisen Z. The game's development is currently 60% complete.

Super Robot Taisen Z has yet to receive an official release date in Japan.
