Soundtracks: The King of Obscurity 01.30.08 - 6:30 PM For this update, I've picked music from some of my favorite unknown titles. Well, you'll recognize the one name, but not in this context. Record of Lodoss War ... Yeah, that's right, the hit anime. Did you know that about half a dozen RPGs have been made from this anime? Today we review the only three soundtracks ever printed for these games. The first two are from old, PC Engine titles (late '80s and early '90s), and the third is the soundtrack for the Super Famicom RPG. Two of these three albums are spectacular, and one is a big letdown. Which one is the black sheep? Find out by reading these reviews! Now here's one you probably don't know, unless you've been visiting RPGFan as long as I've been working here. Back when I started, we had a "movies" section, and we hosted the opening FMVs to a number of games. One such game was a graphic adventure / digital novel from Data East called Revive. The FMV featured an amazing opening vocal track from Chihiro Yonekura. So, we have the review for Chihiro Yonekura's single "Feel Me" (which also contains the ending song). To top it off, we also have an OST review for the game, from pseudonymous composer "SIN." Obscurity with the letter "R." We brought you the best we could find. Next update, expect some *new* stuff!
