True Tears to Flow on PS2
12.18.07 - 1:14 PM

Sweets today announced True Tears for PlayStation 2. The La'cryma-published title was originally released for the PC platform on March 31st 2006. As always, the player assumes control over a male high school student. The story can be pushed forward by using a calendar to schedule dates with the heroines. The player can freely decide what he wants the protagonist to do during three weekdays. On the calendar certain days are marked with avatars of a heroine. If one enters an appointment on said day, an event centering around the respective heroine will occur. The avatars will also tell the player about the current mood of the heroines. A sad face means the player should schedule a date to come to the poor girl's help. During the ensuing event scenes, True Tears' gameplay will be selection-based.

The game will feature the following heroines:

Rui Nakane, the main heroine of the game is nice and friendly. She likes to chat about animals and dreams of becoming a veterinarian
Yuzuko Sanada is the protagonist's childhood friend. She is good at cooking and other housework. Sadly, she happens to be shy and a crybaby.
Katsura Yukishiro is the former head of the student council. She is a serious person and her grades are top class. She is generally considered to be a cool person, even though that does not seem to be the case.
Honoka Uehara is a loner, who is interested in literature. She has a weak body and is not good at talking to others.
Io Sakuragawa is an extremely energetic girl, who has recently given her debut as a voice actress.
Gion Inoue likes preaching and gossip. The mysterious girl may look like an elementary school student, but her personality is that of an adult.

True Tears for PlayStation 2 will be available in Japan on March 13th 2008. Shipping with an original drama CD and special booklet, the game will retail for 7,800 yen ($68.91 USD).
