First Fragile Details Announced
11.22.07 - 10:49 AM

As reported yesterday, Bandai Namco Games is currently working on an original Wii RPG, titled Fragile. The game is developed by Tri-crescendo, the company behind Baten Kaitos and Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume (Eternal Sonata in the US). Meanwhile, the team behind Namco's original PlayStation 2 RPGs Seven and Venus and Braves is responsible for Fragile's design and graphic direction.

Fragile takes place in the not so distant future, in a world where towns and facilities have turned into ruins. In these ruins the protagonist is looking for fellow humans while trying to uncover the truth behind the mysterious and sudden disappearance of many people. Inside the ruins, the protagonist has to dispose of evil spirits. Players will control the hero's flashlight and metal detector with their Wiimote. To fend off the ghostly opposition, the protagonist carries a tree branch with him. As he is making his way through the dark and hostile environments, a young girl is hiding somewhere in the ruins and waiting for somebody to come to her rescue. Fragile is currently 30% complete.

Fragile will be available in Japan sometime next year.
