Banpresto Announces Original PS2 Strategy RPG
10.31.07 - 2:01 PM

Banpresto today announced Poison Pink, an original strategy RPG for PlayStation 2. Development responsibilities rest with a company that already has a long-standing working relationship with the Super Robot Taisen makers: Flight Plan, the development studio responsible for developing Banpresto's Summon Night series. Apart from Summon Night, Flight Plan's track record also includes the Black/Matrix series (as published by what is now Interchannel Holon) and the critically acclaimed Dragon Shadow Spell (DSS). The game's character designer is Tomatica, who has already worked with Flight Plan on DSS. The CG sequences are created by Shirogumi, which has created the opening movie for Sony Computer Entertainment's mystery adventure Rule of Rose). Kouichi Kawase is directing Poison Pink, while Tomokazu Fukazawa is serving as the project's producer.

The game's setting is an interval between the real world and hell. The game tells the story of three protagonists (Tage, Olifen, and Hersh) visiting this surreal place with different expectations. The battle system will be turn-based.

Poison Pink for PlayStation 2 will be available in Japan sometime in spring 2008.
