TGS: Assorted Game Announcements
09.20.07 - 3:47 PM

On the first day of Tokyo Game Show various companies had a few surprises hidden in their sometimes imposing line-ups. Apart from the trio of Kingdom Hearts games, a fourth previously unannounced game happens to be among the three dozen games on display at Square Enix's booth. A new Front Mission title is in development for Nintendo DS. Apart from the target platform, details about this one are still far and few in between at this point, though.

At its booth, Prototype is showing off a bunch of love adventures. While PlayStation Portable releases of AIR, Kanon, and Snow are old news, the Xbox 360 version of Clannad wasn't. The game is based on the PlayStation 2 version of Clannad, but will run at a high resolution of 720p, instead of the PlayStation 2 release's 480i. It will probably become the first love adventure for the Xbox 360, when it goes on sale next spring.

PlayStation 2 users look forward to console versions of Polyphonica 3&4 and Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life. While the former has yet to receive an official release date, the latter will hit Japanese retail store shelves on December 28th.
