Marvelous Reveals Double Punch for DS, Wii 08.30.07 - 12:07 PM Marvelous Interactive has announced some new details regarding two of its upcoming projects: Ousama Monogatari and Luminous Arc 2 Will. The former is a Wii game originally known under its working title Project O. Ousama Monogatari (King Tale) is an RPG offering a high degree of strategic elements. Its development is currently 35% complete. The player assumes the role of the young king Korobo Brett, who has to give various tasks (for instance building a certain kind of shop) to the villagers in order to enlarge his kingdom. A key feature of Ousama Monogatari is the various characters' different way of living. But obviously this wouldn't be a tale of a great king if Korobo did not have to deal with evil creatures as well. In Ousama Monogatari's case, the bad guys are monsters lurking in far-away places. Ousama Monogatari will be available in Japan sometime next year. Meanwhile, the development of a sequel to last year's popular DS strategy RPG Luminous Arc at Marvelous Interactive is already 60% complete. While American DS owners only got their hands on the prequel's English version ealier this month, their Japanese counterparts can already look forward to playing the Luminous Arc 2 Will-titled sequel this winter. Through a pair of rings the protagonist has made a contract with a witch. Thanks to this agreement, the witch is providing various support abilities, such as "attack power up" or "magic power up" in battle. Furthermore, compared to the first game, the variety of conditions for victory has been increased. Luminous Arc 2 Will will hit Japanese retail store shelves sometime this winter
